What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP / SVP, Engineering position at Bradsby Group?
VP / SVP, Engineering (Gas-Fired Power Generation / Data Center Infrastructure)
Location: Austin, TX
Reports to: COO
Company Overview: Our client is developing and operating gas-fired power infrastructure solutions for data center and mission-critical applications, focused on solving large-scale power constraints through build-own-operate generation assets. The company sits at the intersection of energy infrastructure and digital infrastructure, with a strong focus on speed-to-power, technical innovation, and scalable project execution.
This hire will be foundational in building out the platform’s engineering organization and helping shape how the company evaluates, develops, and executes projects going forward.
The Opportunity: This is a critical foundational leadership hire to build and lead our client’s engineering function. This is not a traditional large-team engineering management role overseeing huge internal self-perform organizations. This is a strategic engineering leadership role with hands-on technical depth, particularly in front-end conceptual engineering, while leveraging third-party engineering resources heavily.
The engineering org is expected to remain lean (likely 6–8 engineers max) with outside firms supporting detailed engineering. This person must be comfortable leading through influence, technical judgment, and third-party management.
Three Core Engineering Functions This Role Will Oversee
Unfortunately, this company is not able to provide sponsorship at this time.
