Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Satellite Installation Technician to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining satellite dish systems and related telecommunications equipment at residential and commercial sites. Your expertise will ensure our customers receive seamless entertainment and communication services while providing exceptional customer service throughout every interaction.
Responsibilities
- Install satellite dishes, receivers, and associated equipment at customer locations, ensuring optimal signal quality and system performance
- Conduct site surveys to determine the best installation points and assess existing infrastructure needs
- Use hand tools, power tools, wire crimpers, wire strippers, cable cutters, and other equipment to complete installations efficiently and safely
- Test installed equipment using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and signal meters to verify proper operation
- Perform fiber splicing and telecommunications network cable installation when required for system connectivity
- Operate company vehicles responsibly while adhering to safety protocols during field service visits
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining system features, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in network installation, telecommunications infrastructure work, or satellite dish setup
- Proficiency with Cisco routers, Ethernet wiring, telephony systems, and electrical work fundamentals
- Ability to use hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, voltage testers, and power tools effectively
- Outdoor work experience with ladder use for rooftop or elevated installations
- Knowledge of fiber splicing techniques and telecommunications network cabling standards
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude in field service environments
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles safely
