Bradley David Associates is looking for an Import Manager in New Jersey on behalf of a reputable shipping company. You will play a crucial role in overseeing daily customs brokerage operations, ensuring compliance, and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily customs brokerage activities, ensuring timely and compliant entry processing.
- Provide expert guidance on U.S. Customs regulations, documentation, and procedural requirements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for import operations.
- Review entry documentation for accuracy and compliance before submission.
- Monitor and resolve U.S. Customs rejections, RFIs, and compliance matters.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in customs brokerage operations.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, import processes, and trade compliance.
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring entry writers is highly preferred.
- Active U.S. Customs Broker License strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
