Position Summary
The Digital Marketing Coordinator position reports to the Marketing Technology Manager and works closely with the Director of Marketing and the Senior Marketing Communications Manager. Our ideal candidate will be creative, proactive, and possess analytical, marketing, communications, and technical skills. The role requires a strong team player who can manage competing priorities and adhere to the highest level of quality standards and operational procedures.
Position Objectives
The Digital Marketing Coordinator supports the marketing and business development goals of the firm by:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of the firm’s brand and marketing communication strategy through the firm’s digital platforms, including social media, employee advocacy, email marketing, firm website, and blog sites.
- Ensuring all digital marketing efforts and communications meet firm goals, policies and tone coupled with a client-focused approach.
- Identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and brand awareness.
- Preparing marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring success.
- Providing market research and competitive analyses.
- Supporting the maintenance and development of external and internal tools, including website, blogs, social media channels, intranet site, and CRM.
- Furthering professional knowledge and education through regularly sharing best practices, ideas and tactics with the team, attorneys, and other firm departments.
- Providing back-up graphic design support as needed, under the direction of the Creative & Brand Specialist, to create and edit marketing collateral materials, social media graphics, presentations, and advertisements.
- Collaborating with colleagues within various practices, marketing, business development, administrative and executive teams to help achieve business objectives.
- Ensuring brand consistency across all digital assets and marketing materials.
What Will Your Day Look Like?
- Collaborating with team members and departments to identify content to share on social media channels, blogs, and the website.
- Creating brand-consistent content, graphics, imagery, video, etc., using tools such as Getty Images, Premier Rush, Adobe Express, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva and others.
- Following best practices and firm standards; developing engaging content, graphics and videos for social media posts; and publishing content using the firm’s social media marketing platform.
- Editing/updating and publishing content on the firm’s website using the content management system, Sitecore, and the firm’s intranet built-in SharePoint.
- Building and publishing new website pages using established templates.
- Developing editorial calendars, workflow playbooks, and best practices reference guides to improve digital marketing efforts, communications, and processes.
- Pulling data reports from various locations, including Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Vuture, Cirrom/ContactEase, Legal Content Aggregators (JD Supra, Lexology, National Law Review), and more, and proactively building and providing reporting for practice groups and other firm groups.
- Managing attorney-facing contact data initiatives, including digital business cards administration and CRM maintenance.
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of documentation for workflows, procedures, processes, etc.
Job Requirements:
Position Requirements and Desired Skills:
- Technical
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications or related field
- Two to five years of relevant work experience in a professional services firm, digital marketing role, B2B marketing agency, or equivalent preferred
- Strong background in social media, websites, blogs, email marketing tools, and graphic design
- Strong background working with social media marketing platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Sprout Social, etc.
- Experience with image and graphics editing in applications such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and other Adobe programs, as well as Canva or other free-to-use tools
- Experience with Google Analytics or similar
- Hands-on experience with Sitecore or similar content management system; basic understanding of HTML
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft SharePoint
- Familiarity with email marketing, SEO concepts and techniques; email campaign procedures; knowledge of or willingness to learn about state and local bar association rules regarding communications with clients and non-clients
- General
- Excellent proofreading skills with outstanding attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team player who is client service oriented (to both internal and external clients)
- Highly organized, proactive self-starter
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and complete tasks under time constraints
