Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor vital signs when necessary.
- Implement behavior management strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the living space of residents.
- Utilize EMR systems for accurate documentation of care provided and resident status.
- Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when required.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care, long-term care, or home & community care is preferred.
- Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, memory care, and dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- Experience working in personal care homes, retirement homes, group homes, or similar settings is advantageous.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and basic caregiving skills is essential.
