You will be working in State of the Art facility with a team of providers and support staff. You will have your choice of working with either a family or adult patient population.
Position Overview:
As an experienced Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in our organization, providing comprehensive primary care to individuals and families across the lifespan. Your responsibilities will include conducting physical examinations, diagnosing and treating common acute and chronic illnesses, prescribing medications, and providing health education and counseling to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- The NP will conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations.
- The NP will diagnose and treat common acute and chronic conditions, collaborating with physicians and specialists as needed.
- The NP will develop and implement patient-centered care plans to promote optimal health outcomes.
- The NP will order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies.
- The NP will prescribe medications and other necessary treatments, ensuring adherence to evidence-based guidelines and safety protocols.
- The NP will provide patient education and counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- The NP will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure continuity for patients.
- The NP will maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patients
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner (FNP, ANP) license in the state of Rhode Island.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an NP, preferably in a primary care setting.
- Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
