What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Generalist position at Bradesco Bank?

Scope of Responsibilities:
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
- Assists management with the internal controls related to accounting processes by applying policies and procedures of the Bank and its affiliates
- Prepares and records assets, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Maintains and balances GL and subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
- Monitor all accounts, ledgers and reports complying with accounting policies, practice and procedures
- Assist with monthly accounting close process, specifically with regards to general ledger functions, ensuring an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
Experience:
- At minimum four (2 ) years of progressive experience in accounting/finance
- Financial services industry experience is a plus
- Knowledge of USGAAP
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, and strong organizational skills
- Intermediate knowledge on user applications (e.g., MS Office – Word, Access, PowerPoint)
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Language:
- English (Required)
- Portuguese (plus)
