Position Classification: Part-Time / Non-Exempt

Reports To: Manager on Duty

Position Summary:

The Server is the face of Cody's Original Roadhouse—responsible for delivering exceptional food and service with personality and warmth. You’ll guide guests through the menu, take orders accurately, ensure timely delivery, and create memorable dining experiences that reflect our brand’s down-home hospitality.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome guests promptly and with genuine enthusiasm.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Deliver food and drinks with attention to presentation, quality, and timing.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, friendly service throughout the meal.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns and involve management when necessary.
• Maintain thorough menu and specials knowledge to make recommendations and upsell effectively.
• Process payments accurately, including handling cash and credit transactions.
• Assist teammates as needed—helping reset tables, run food, or refill beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all guest and service areas.
• Complete all assigned side work and closing duties per company standards.
• Follow responsible alcohol service laws and company policies at all times.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

• Salesmanship and enthusiasm for creating a great guest experience.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• A team-player mindset and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in accordance with state law.
• Previous serving experience preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand and move quickly for up to 6 hours per shift.
• Bend, kneel, and lift trays, dishes, and bus tubs weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Maintain balance while carrying multiple items in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
