Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations across women's health and gynecology. This role requires a versatile individual with strong patient care skills, familiarity with EHR systems_ (Eclinical works)_, and a solid understanding of medical terminology. Experience in clinic settings, particularly in gynecology, is highly desirable. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality care delivery.
Duties
- Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures inpatient settings.
- Support physician with clinical tasks such as medication administration, gynecology procedures, obtaining any records the provider may need and keeping up with referrals sent out.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment including EHR systems, and other diagnostic tools.
- Assist with specimen collection, lab testing, and preparing patients for surgical procedures.
- Support administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating care across departments like Blake OR.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to outpatient, inpatien.
- Experience with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions.
- Ability to perform patient service tasks including intake assessments and vital signs monitoring efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to provide compassionate patient care across diverse populations.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures and internal medicine practices is beneficial for comprehensive patient support. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment support.
