Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, and promoting our full range of packaging products and solutions.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products or services that meet their needs
- Provide detailed information about products, including features, benefits, and pricing options
- Process transactions accurately using cash handling, cashiering, and retail math skills
- Support customers with banking-related services such as deposits, withdrawals, or loan processing when applicable
- Maintain an organized checkout area, ensuring efficient cash management and adherence to cash handling procedures
- Upsell products or services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Keep the sales floor tidy, restock merchandise, and ensure product displays are attractive and accessible
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers in the assigned territory
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate packaging solutions
- Conduct in-person sales visits, presentations, and product demonstrations
- Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and close sales deals
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions
- Collaborate with purchasing and customer service teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM tools
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Central NY
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ideal Cadidate:
- 2 years of outside sales experience (preferably in packaging, distribution, or B2B sales)
- Understanding and experience with Quickbooks
- Experience in the packaging industry or knowledge of packaging materials (corrugated, stretch film, tapes, protective packaging, etc.)
- Background in selling to manufacturing, logistics, or foodservice sectors
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
