Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. We provide the clients and you do no billing because we want you to focus on what you do best, provide counseling services! Get paid for the hours you're scheduled, not just for the clients you see. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical counseling and behavioral health, with expertise in providing psychotherapy across diverse populations. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will deliver comprehensive mental health services, including individual, group, and family therapy, while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems, to develop tailored treatment strategies.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Implement crisis management techniques to support patients experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma-related distress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate case management and develop comprehensive care plans for patients with complex needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology effectively.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives to enhance treatment methodologies and contribute to evidence-based practices within behavioral health.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to extend mental health services remotely, ensuring accessibility for diverse client populations.
- Deliver specialized counseling for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, grief issues, addiction challenges, and others.
- Apply social work principles and behavior management strategies to support patients’ social functioning and community integration.
Experience
- Proven experience in clinical mental health counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings, including hospital environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and trauma-informed care.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) / DSM-5 for accurate diagnosis documentation and billing purposes.
- Prior telehealth experience is preferred to facilitate remote patient engagement effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and familiarity with medical records management is essential.
