Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney to join our legal team. Duties
- Provide legal counsel on a variety of issues including estate planning, landlord-tenant disputes, personal injury claims, and workers' compensation cases.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and motions with precision and clarity.
- Represent clients in litigation proceedings and negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas such as securities law, tribal law & regulations, and patent law.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop effective legal strategies.
- Maintain organized records of case files and ensure all documentation is compliant with legal standards.
- Provide administrative support within the law office as needed.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong knowledge of various areas of law including environmental law, immigration law, family law, litigation, and more.
- Proven experience in legal drafting and writing skills essential for creating clear and persuasive documents.
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw is preferred.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients' interests.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
