- Director role leading the scientific strategy for ultrasound contrast agents in echocardiography, including global oversight of clinical trials, post-marketing initiatives, regulatory submissions, and providing medical education to field teams and customers in North America.
Essential Responsibilities
Contrast-enhanced Ultrasound in Echocardiography – Global
- Provide medical oversight of company-sponsored clinical trials; this includes preparation of the protocol outline and review of the study protocol, input for selection of investigators, scientific and medical support for investigators’ meetings and training sessions, medical support regarding safety and efficacy issues during the conduct of the study, medical input and review of statistical analysis plans, tables and listings and final reports
- Evaluate grant applications and oversee approved projects for investigator-initiated research
- Provide expert medical contributions to regulatory submissions
- Provide expert medical input to the development of marketing strategy, plans, and promotional material, and other assistance as necessary to global and North America marketing
- Represent the company at professional meetings, congresses and symposia, while interacting and building relationships with thought leaders and key users in the medical imaging industry
- Provide expert medical responses to queries from sales representatives and customers in North America
- Provide medical support to the Professional Services group for the development of materials to support the needs of sales personnel and customers with professional information about ultrasound contrast agents
- Present medical/scientific information to internal personnel (Marketing/Sales) or health care professionals (for scientific interaction)
- Secondary Activities, Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provide medical support to the Medical Communication and Education group in planning strategic communication, symposia and educational activities
- Prepare and present scientific data on ultrasound contrast agents at sales training programs and sales meetings in North America

- At least 5-8 years’ experience in Medical Affairs in the pharmaceutical industry (required)
- Experience in teaching and/or making formal presentations
- Industry knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- Active medical licensure and/or registration are not required
- Demonstrated experience in contrast agents, echocardiography or cardiovascular imaging desirable
- Skilled at combining medical/scientific expertise and clinical experience with business objectives to develop and execute effective medical marketing strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships and engaging with key opinion leaders, customers, imaging healthcare professionals, and cross-functional business partners.
- Adept at translating complex scientific concepts into clear, practical training for individuals with varying levels of experience.
- Medical degree
- Residency training in cardiology, radiology, including training in echocardiography, PET.
- Residency training in cardiology, including training in echocardiography
- In-depth knowledge of adult and pediatric clinical/ imaging cardiology
- Knowledge of echocardiographic techniques and imaging (Level 2 or 3 training in echocardiography preferred)
