Essential Duties:

The essential duties noted below are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, functions, and skills. They are intended to be a summary of key job responsibilities and duties.

1. Provide customer service to the general public by providing information on Zoning and General Plan matters and development related case processing information.
2. Review General Plan Amendments, Specific Plan Amendments, re-zoning, variances, conditional use permits, design review, and other similar planning related applications.
3. Review buildings plans, parcel maps, and subdivision proposals for compliance with appropriate regulations.
4. Prepare, compile, organize, and present reports and recommendations for complex projects, with supervisor input, to the Development Review Committee, Planning Commission and City Council.
5. Conduct field evaluations and assessments and provide feedback and information clarification.
6. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
7. Perform all work consistent with BPR’s and clients’ policies and procedures.
8. Provide all services in an efficient, proactive, and client focused manner.

Desired Qualifications:

• Four (4) plus years’ experience working for a CA municipality.
• Must possess knowledge of California planning, zoning, general plan, and development laws, including subdivision, coastal and environmental laws and regulations.

Compensation:

BPR Consulting Group offers competitive wages and has a strong benefit offering; based on experience, qualifications and certifications.

$30 - 46/hr
