Lead Project Manager – Salesforce (Public Sector)

BPM Advisors (BPMA), an official Salesforce Partner, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a long-term Salesforce GovCloud managed services engagement supporting two Missouri state agencies.

This is not a software implementation project. The successful candidate will oversee ongoing Salesforce operations, maintenance, enhancements, Agile delivery, release planning, vendor coordination, and executive stakeholder communication across two mature Salesforce environments.

The Project Manager will lead a cross-functional team consisting of a Salesforce Architect, Senior Salesforce Developers, Business Analyst/QA Lead, and State stakeholders while ensuring high-quality delivery, predictable releases, and excellent customer satisfaction.

• Serve as the primary Project Manager and client liaison for the State.
• Manage multiple Salesforce workstreams supporting maintenance, enhancements, and production operations.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coordinate project schedules, resource planning, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Facilitate executive steering committee and stakeholder meetings.
• Monitor project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies while driving timely resolution.
• Oversee release planning, deployment coordination, and production readiness.
• Ensure project documentation, status reporting, and contractual deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate closely with the Salesforce Architect, Business Analyst, QA Lead, and Development Team.
• Manage scope, schedule, quality, communications, and customer expectations.
• Support transition-in, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness activities.
• Ensure compliance with State governance processes and reporting requirements.

• Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent recognized project management credential.
• 8 years of Project Management experience leading enterprise IT projects.
• At least 3 years managing Salesforce projects.
• At least 3 years managing projects for state, federal, county, municipal, higher education, or other public-sector organizations.
• Experience managing Salesforce GovCloud or other regulated Salesforce environments.
• Experience managing Agile/Scrum software development teams.
• Experience managing vendors, subcontractors, and cross-functional technical teams.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Public Sector Solutions.
• Experience supporting production operations, maintenance, and enhancement contracts (not just new implementations).
• Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile project management tools.
• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent).
• Experience with release planning, change management, and production support.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
