Lead Batch Maker
BPI Coatings Solutions is looking for a Lead Batch Maker in Olive Branch, MS to oversee the daily batching activities within their department in order to complete scheduled batches according to the standard operating procedures and guidelines by performing the following:
Set up and monitor Batching equipment to ensure that all components are connected correctly, operational and functioning within quality specifications; inspect to ensure that all tools, components, PPE, and needed materials are readily available to perform job tasks.
Assign tasks, provide directives and instructions to employees to maximize quality and productivity.
Constantly observe all aspects of the batching process in order to quickly identify, troubleshoot, intervene, and resolve any issues with completing batches timely within required standards.
Inspect final product and coordinate sampling with Quality Assurance department; work with QC/Chemist/PE in adjustments of batches as needed.
Address and manage of any spills, non-conforming raw material or batch anomaly; promptly communicate with all appropriate persons and supervisor all outcomes.
Complete paperwork and all associated administrative tasks related to the Batching line, to include Batching documentation, etc. Provide daily reporting of Batching quantity and defects.

The right candidate will have the following:
- High school diploma or GED is required; Vocational or Technical training preferred.
- Four years’ experience of progressive leadership in a production environment batch maker specific role.
- Knowledge of raw materials and batch mixing procedures.
- Proficiency and certification in the operation of material handling equipment including, but not limited to, narrow aisle and sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and power pallet jacks.
- Professional attitude with good work ethic and a sense of integrity and pride in their job.
- The ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
This position will require the ability to follow directions from a manager and work in a warehouse environment. The person in this position will be working with other team members who are all working under the direction of the Manager. This person will be exposed to various types of chemicals that are being manufactured for our customer and must be able to follow all safety procedures and work as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.36 - $23.32 per hour
