Minimum Qualifications
- Academic or professional graphic arts training beyond the high school level
- Professional experience, training, and knowledge of social media marketing
- A minimum of two (2) years of full-time related work experience preferred
- A portfolio of applicable design examples
Job Summary
The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating and managing original designs for company marketing materials. These include but are not limited to social media and website content, print communication materials, email newsletters, brand identity, and various promotional campaigns. The Graphic Designer will also assist the Design Team with the creation of customer print communications and other marketing collateral.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with both Macintosh and Windows operating systems
- Demonstrable knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
- Video editing experience a plus
- Experience with Google Workspace
- WordPress experience and basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
- Strong initiative, self-motivation, and desire for continuous learning
- Knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Principle Duties/Responsibilities
- Create original and innovative graphics for the company and its customers
- Develop and maintain a social media and web presence for the company
- Assist in the creation and implementation of in-house marketing materials and campaigns
- Manage multiple social media platforms
- Edit the company website
- Increase web and social media traffic and measure key performance indicators
- Maintain consistent brand identity among all marketing efforts
- Manage company announcement requests and create appropriate content in a timely manner
- Photograph and video company events
- Edit photos and videos to develop promotional content
- Review and interpret organizational and customer needs and instructions, ask questions to ensure understanding and offer creative suggestions when appropriate
- Communicate with print production staff to ensure digitally generated artwork will flow seamlessly into the print production process
- Assist the Design Team and Web-to-Print Storefront Team
- Effectively manage multiple priorities
- Accurately record time and materials on a daily timesheet
- Stay up to date on the latest graphic design and social media technology trends
- Perform other related job duties as assigned
