What are the responsibilities and job description for the APPRENTICE ELECTRICIAN position at BP&L Industries Energy Services Inc?
JOB SUMMARY:
• Have a safety first mindset.
• Display a self-motivated, strong work ethic.
• Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems.
• Must be able to wire 120v, 240v, 480v and low voltage systems.
• Experience with measuring, threading, Bending and Running EMT and Rigid conduit size 1/2"-4".
• Read blueprints.
• Must be able to operate heavy equipment (Scissor lifts, aerial lifts, forklifts etc.).
• MUST HAVE COMMERCIAL - OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE.
• MUST BE LOCATED IN ODESSA/MIDLAND AREA TO APPLY.
SCHEDULE:
• Monday to Friday
• 10-hour shift.
• On call
• Overtime
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Drug screen and background check required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPRENTICE ELECTRICIAN:
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required. This is a full-time position.
• Active a Texas Apprentice Electrician’s license required.
• Must have at least 2 years of industrial electrical experience.
