BP Builders LLC has an exciting opportunity to join our growing general contracting business.
Based in Esko, MN, we are seeking a self-motivated, experienced professional to join our team as a Traveling Superintendent. This role will support projects across Grand Marais, Ely, Brainerd, Northern Wisconsin, and potentially Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
As a Superintendent at BP Builders, you will serve as the on-site leader for construction operations—managing details, coordinating field teams, and acting as a key connection between trade partners, clients, and internal project staff.
From project kickoff through closeout, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating daily site operations across multiple projects
- Managing schedules, sequencing work, and ensuring progress aligns with project goals
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized jobsite
- Driving quality by proactively identifying and resolving issues before they escalate
- Communicating clearly with trade partners, field staff, and project managers
- Hosting weekly foreman meetings to keep teams informed and aligned
- Ordering materials, scheduling inspections, and maintaining accurate records
- Serving as a visible, responsive, and reliable presence on site
- Stepping in as needed to solve problems quickly, professionally, and collaboratively
- You will also model safety leadership and help set the tone for a positive, productive jobsite culture.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- 3 years of experience leading teams and managing commercial construction projects as a Superintendent with a general contractor
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, trade scopes, and site logistics
- A humble, team-oriented mindset with the ability to juggle multiple priorities while staying composed
- Confidence in reading plans, coordinating crews, and adapting to change
- Proficiency with construction platforms such as Autodesk, Google tools, and Apple devices
- Ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
- 3 years of experience overseeing high-end, Class A tenant improvement or commercial interior projects
- Experience in drywall, finish carpentry, or millwork
- Experience scheduling and managing integrated teams
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and permitting processes
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and calm leadership under pressure

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
-This is a hands-on, active role requiring time on construction sites. Duties include walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, crouching, kneeling, and occasionally lifting materials.
-Work environments range from climate-controlled interiors to outdoor job sites in all weather conditions. PPE is provided and required when necessary.
