Responsibilities:

This role involves analyzing inventory data, adjusting product locations, and ensuring optimal slotting based on turnover rates, weight, and storage needs. The Warehouse Slotter collaborates with inventory control, warehouse supervisors, and logistics teams to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze inventory movement, product velocity, and storage space to determine optimal slotting.
- Assign and adjust product locations based on size, weight, frequency of use, and picking patterns.
- Ensure high-demand and fast-moving items are easily accessible to improve order fulfillment speed.
- Minimize warehouse congestion by implementing efficient storage layouts.
- Maintain organized storage areas to maximize space efficiency and minimize travel time for pickers.
- Reconfigure pallet racking, shelving, and bin locations as needed.
- Work with warehouse associates and forklift operators to adjust slotting based on operational needs.
- Implement best practices for FIFO (First In, First Out) and LIFO (Last In, First Out) inventory management.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movement and slotting adjustments.
- Conduct slotting audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Generate reports on slotting efficiency, space utilization, and picking performance.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce travel time and increase productivity.
- Work closely with warehouse managers, order selectors, and logistics teams to implement efficient workflows.
- Support warehouse associates by providing slotting maps, labels, and pick-path adjustments.
- Assist in re-slotting initiatives when new products are introduced or seasonal adjustments are needed.
- Ensure safe and effective product handling to prevent damage and improve efficiency.
- Performing other duties as assigned by leadership
- Monday-Friday 4:00 AM-12:30 PM
- $19.00/hour
- Varying temperatures based on the assigned work environment
- Preferred: Two (2) years of experience in a warehouse, distribution or logistics role
- Preferred: Experience using WMS, slotting software, or inventory tracking systems preferred
- Preferred: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership
- Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies to all associates; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
- Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 75lbs.; the ability to operate required facility equipment; Ability to stand, walk and sit throughout your day; Walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile etc;
