Position Overview:
The Parking Attendant is responsible for managing vehicle flow, guest arrival experience, and parking logistics during high-volume events. This role ensures safe, organized, and efficient traffic control for weddings, galas, golf outings, corporate functions, and member events.
Responsibilities:
- Direct vehicles safely and efficiently into designated parking areas
- Manage traffic patterns during peak arrival and departure times
- Coordinate overflow parking during high-attendance events
- Provide clear instructions to guests regarding entrances, drop-off zones, and accessible parking
- Assist with valet coordination (if applicable)
- Maintain safe pedestrian and vehicle traffic flow
- Monitor parking lots for hazards or unsafe conditions
- Report accidents, incidents, or suspicious activity immediately
- Assist with emergency vehicle access when necessary
- Follow club/venue safety protocols at all times
- Support setup and breakdown of event signage and parking cones
- Coordinate with Event Manager, Banquet Manager, or Security regarding event timing and guest volume
- Assist guests with directions to clubhouse, banquet halls, or event tents
- Provide umbrella assistance or support during inclement weather (if applicable)
- Greet guests professionally and warmly
- Answer general questions about the venue
- Maintain a calm and courteous demeanor during high-traffic situations
- Represent the club or venue with professionalism at all times
- Performing any other tasks assigned by leadership
Experience:
- Preferred: Experience in parking, traffic control, security or hospitality or related experience
Schedule:
- Days and start times TBD based on business needs
- Part Time; Weekends required
- Flexibility to work hours needed based on event schedules
Environment:
- Varying temperatures based on indoor and outdoor working conditions
Skills:
- Physical abilities: May be required to lift and move up to 30 – 40lbs.; Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
