We're looking for an Irrigation Field Leader to lead our Irrigation Division. This position is responsible for developing employees, planning daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and delivering high-quality irrigation services safely, efficiently, and professionally.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Lead, coach, and develop Irrigation Technicians.
  • Plan daily schedules, staffing, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure irrigation services meet BSS quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex irrigation issues and support technicians in the field.
  • Communicate with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and project progress.
  • Prepare estimates, repair recommendations, and maintain accurate documentation in Aspire.
  • Monitor labor, materials, productivity, and job progress.
  • Coordinate inventory, equipment, and vehicle readiness.
  • Promote safe work practices and maintain company standards.
  • Collaborate with management to improve processes, efficiency, and overall division performance.

RESULTS STATEMENT

The Irrigation Field Leader is responsible for the overall success of the Irrigation Division by leading employees, planning daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining accurate administrative documentation, and delivering high-quality irrigation services safely, efficiently, and profitably. This position serves as the primary liaison between field personnel and management while fostering accountability, communication, and continuous improvement throughout the division. 

STRATEGIC WORK

  1. Leads the Irrigation Division by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and servant leadership.

  2. Develops technicians through coaching, training, delegation, and performance management while promoting a positive team culture.

  3. Plans labor, equipment, materials, and staffing to maximize productivity, minimize downtime, and meet customer commitments.

  4. Oversees division performance by balancing field production with leadership, planning, administrative responsibilities, and customer communication.

  5. Facilitates communication between field employees, management, customers, and supporting departments to ensure efficient operations.

  6. Anticipates and manages inventory, materials, and equipment needs while operating within approved budgets.

  7. Participates in planning and execution of daily and weekly operational meetings while communicating division priorities to the team.

  8. Upholds company safety standards through leadership, coaching, and immediate correction of unsafe behaviors.

  9. Develops, maintains, and continuously improves irrigation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, and operational processes.

TACTICAL WORK

  1. Ensures irrigation services are completed on schedule while consistently meeting BSS quality standards.

  2. Assigns, delegates, and monitors daily work to maximize crew productivity and maintain accountability.

  3. Conducts or delegates onboarding and ongoing training to ensure employees are properly trained in irrigation practices, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company expectations.

  4. Regularly inspects completed work, identifies quality concerns, and implements corrective actions as necessary.

  5. Responds promptly and professionally to customer questions, concerns, repair recommendations, and service requests while maintaining clear communication throughout each project.

  6. Reviews and verifies the accuracy of labor, materials, work tickets, estimates, and other required documentation to ensure complete and accurate records within Aspire.

  7. Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair needs with the shop to ensure trucks, tools, and equipment are properly stocked, maintained, and operational.

  8. Maintains organized irrigation inventory by monitoring material usage, anticipating future needs, and ensuring supplies are available to support scheduled work.

  9. Plans and prioritizes daily and weekly workloads, customer commitments, administrative responsibilities, and production schedules to support efficient division operations.

  10. Addresses employee performance, attendance, and behavioral concerns in accordance with company policies and the Corrective Action SOP.

  11. Collaborates with other divisions and departments to support company-wide operational success.

  12. Demonstrates flexibility by assisting other company divisions as business needs require.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Age 18 or older.

  2. Legal, valid, unrestricted driver's license.

  3. Reasonable Suspicion Training for Supervisors provided at BSS.

  4. Ability to safely operate company vehicles and back trailers.

  5. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees.

  6. Strong organizational, planning, delegation, and problem-solving abilities.

  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with employees, customers, and management.

  8. Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape maintenance practices, equipment operation, and safety procedures.

  9. Proficiency with field service management software, preferably Aspire.

  10. Ability to manage inventory, equipment, scheduling, and operational resources effectively.

  11. Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORKING CONDITIONS

  1. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, reach, push, pull, and work on uneven terrain throughout the workday.

  2. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.

  3. Manual dexterity to safely operate company vehicles, trailers, power equipment, irrigation tools, computers, tablets, and mobile devices.

  4. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and management in person, by phone, and through electronic communication.

  5. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, and other environmental conditions typical of landscape and irrigation work.

Salary : $30 - $40
