About Boys’ Haven & Journey House

Boys’ Haven has been part of the Southeast Texas community since 1945, providing safety, stability, and hope to youth who need a place to call home. Today, our Journey House Transitional Living Program continues that legacy by supporting young men ages 18–24 who are experiencing homelessness, aging out of foster care, or lacking stable family connections.

Journey House offers:

  • Safe, home‑like housing
  • Mentoring and emotional support
  • High school, trade school, and college enrollment assistance
  • Employment readiness and job placement support
  • Life skills classes (budgeting, cooking, hygiene, etc.)
  • Driver’s education, transportation help, and car‑purchase assistance
  • Community connections and long‑term stability planning

Our goal is simple: empower young adults to build strong, independent, successful futures.
