What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Program Supervisor - Murfreesboro Club position at Boys & Girls of Rutherford County?
REPORT TO: Education Director
GENERAL FUNCTION:
The National Programs Facilitator is responsible for planning and conducting exciting activities for BGCA National Programs, reporting outcomes, and giving informal guidance to members and for maintaining a positive atmosphere in the Club.
KNOW HOW:
Must have the ability to plan and conduct outcome-based creative educational activities. Must be able to enforce Boys & Girls Club rules and policies in a fair and equitable manner.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervise the program area in its entirety and ensure members are safe and having fun while learning
2. Plan, schedule, and implement activities for outcome-based programs for each age group within the specified program
3. Ensure members understand the concept and instructions of each activity
4. Have all pre-planned lesson plans and supplies readily available
5. Continually ensure all areas of the program space is tidy/clean throughout the day
6. Hold Orientation daily (and more as needed) to make announcements of upcoming events and go over rules that need to be addressed
7. Keep inventory of supplies and curriculums and ensure they remain in safe/working condition
WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Upkeep the cleanliness of the room.
2. Identify if there are any repairs that need to done.
MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES (Due by the 1st of each month):
1. Submit the typed calendar and lesson plans for the upcoming month (Ex: June calendar on May 1st). This calendar needs to include two SPECIAL creative activities/events with action plans
2. Post the NP Champs of the Month with pictures and bios. Create certificates and identify prizes to be given to the recipients during a daily orientation
3. Change, develop, and create the themed bulletin board that goes along with the month
JOB SEGMENTS:
1. Organize files for each BGCA National Program
2. Track each members pre/post test scores and record results for each BGCA National Program
3. Promote activities and encourage participation by all members
4. Provide informal guidance to all members.
5. Keep all equipment/supplies in good repair and ready for participation
6. Keep area clean and in order.
7. Assist with other Boys & Girls Clubs activities and events as assigned.
8. Participate in staff meetings and conferences.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
High energy level, comfortable in performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Superior interpersonal abilities and the ability to get along with diverse personalities, at all times displaying tact, maturity and flexibility. Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment. Physical requirement include sight, hearing, sitting for four plus hours per day. Skills essential for successful communications include speaking and writing.
