JobSummary

The Club Director actively develops and sustains relationships that grow the presence of the Club in the community by leading and cultivating partnerships with community organizations and regional school systems to advance programs at the Club site.The Club Director will champion the pursuit of Club Excellence by leading the operational, fiscal and management aspects of the Club.

PrimaryResponsibilities

Operational Leadership & Program Quality - 15%

  • Drivethe keyperformanceindicators of Average Daily Attendance (ADA), Registered Members (RM), Active Members (AM)andFrequent Attenders (FA) for the Club in alignment withBGCMD's overallpursuit of Operational Excellence.
  • Administerthe annualNational Youth Outcomes Initiative(NYOI)andSocial & Emotional Learning Program Quality Assessment(SELPQA)assessments in collaboration with the Impact Department toensureClub membersconsistently have great experiences at Club.
  • ManagetheBGCMDFee Modelfor the Clubto promotebothClubaccessibilityfor Club familieswhilealsodriving the Club toward fiscal sustainability.
  • Algintheexpenditures of theClubwith theoperational Clubbudget.

Youth Development & Member Engagement - 30%

  • Establish aClubCulturethat is youth-centered,safe,inclusiveand engagingin an effort topromotepositiveClub member behaviorswhile also creating awelcomingenvironment forClub families andotherexternal BGCMD stakeholders.
  • Implementconstructiveyouth development and trauma-informed practicesthroughout the Club tofosterpositive emotional, social, andenrichment experiencefor Club members.
  • Build strong relationships withClubmembers, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Ensure a diverse range ofprogrammatic, athletics, enrichment, and leadership activitiestomeet the needsand interestsof Club members.

Team Leadership & Professional Development - 25%

  • Supervise and support a team of4-10 teammateswhich includes the direct leadership of the Program Manager andtheClub Access Assistant/Club Access Specialist.
  • Indirectly supervise theYouth Development Specialist or Youth Engagement Specialistin support of the Program Manager.
  • Conductregularcheck-ins withthe Program Manager and Club Access Assistant/Club Access Specialist teammates to provide coaching andmanagementaround performance and conduct.
  • Create a culture ofteamwork, belonginess and productivity amongst Club staff.
  • Participate inBGCMDJanuary, May, andAugusttraining weeksand engage in anydistrict/school-led professional development opportunities if applicable.

Community & Family Engagement - 10%

  • Lead community outreach effortswith key external stakeholders tostrengthen partnerships with schools, local organizations, andcommunity organizations.
  • Host routine Family Orientations tofoster strong relationshipsbetweenClub families and the Club.
  • Executesignature events
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with school administration and school staff

Club Safety - 20%

  • Champion thefacilitymaintenance of the Club (or partner with School/District Leadership) to ensure that the Club is safe,accessibleand ready for programming.
  • Coordinate and overseethetransportationlogisticsfor the Club and ensure that allBGCMD vehicles areutilizedin accordance withBGCMDsafety standards.
  • Transport Club memberstofield trips, athleticsactivitiesand otherspecial eventsin accordance withBGCMD safety standards.
  • Directthefood service managementof the Clubandcultivate regularnutritional opportunities for Club members.
  • Execute regular safety initiatives such as hosting Monthly Safety Drills and overseeing the Incident Report processfor the Club.

SecondaryDuties

  • Support the Program Managerwithdelivering upontheapplicablegrants,keyprogramsand routine programming requirements for the Club.
  • Step into ratio iftheClubengagementnecessitatesadditionalstaff.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by substituting at other Clubs orparticipatingin organization-wide events across the Denver Metro area.
