BGCWC has provided sustained growth and impacted on the lives of Weld County area youth since 1964. Thousands of youths have come through the doors of BGCWC and it currently serves over 1,000 youth annually
throughout club sites located in Milliken, Galeton, and Fort Morgan in addition to three clubs in Greeley including a brand-new Teen Center that opened in summer 2024. Our nationally recognized programming includes academic support and tutoring, computer training, healthy lifestyles, arts and culture, as well as opportunities for community service and leadership development. BGCWC’s vision is to help our youth develop healthy physical and emotional habits, succeed in their chosen educational and career pathways, achieve self-efficacy and confidence, and become leaders in their communities. BGCWC programs are designed to encourage club members and develop the “whole child.” The Boys & Girls Club
Movement is focused on helping children and teens achieve priority outcomes in the areas of Academic Success,
Character Development and Citizenship, Healthy Lifestyles, and Life and Workforce Readiness.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our executive leadership team to serve as the Vice President of Operations & Programs for the growing Boys & Girls Club of Weld County (BGCWC). This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on kids’ lives. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will lead and direct the effective and efficient operation of all BGCWC Clubhouse locations and the strategic oversight and delivery of all programs and services. The role ensures high-quality, safe, and mission-aligned programming that drives positive youth development outcomes, while leading operational excellence across staffing, facilities, transportation, food service, technology, and safety. The Vice President also cultivates strategic partnerships that enhance the Club experience and advance BGCWC’s mission.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations
• Partner with the CEO to develop and manage the annual operating and program budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
• Ensure effective maintenance, safety, and capital planning for all facilities and fleet vehicles.
• Oversee vendor selection, contracting, and performance management in accordance with organizationalpolicies.
• Lead Area Site Directors and Clubhouse Directors in the efficient operation of all locations, ensuring fiscal discipline and operational consistency.
• Maintain Clubhouse environments that reflect BGCWC brand standards, safety expectations, and welcoming spaces for members.
• Ensure organizational compliance with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) operational and programming standards.
• Collaborate with People Resources to recruit, train, develop, and retain high-quality staff aligned with BGCWC values.
• Ensure safety policies, procedures, and BGCA membership requirements are embedded across all operations.
• Support volunteer recruitment and engagement in partnership with People Resources and Clubhouse
leadership.
• Advance strategic initiatives related to growth, retention, and average daily attendance (ADA).
• Maintain an organization-wide asset and capital planning inventory to support long-term budgeting and sustainability.
Programs
• Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive programs aligned with BGCA core program areas and youth development outcomes.
• Establish and communicate clear organizational program goals that prioritize member safety, development, and engagement.
• Serve as a role model and mentor for Area Directors, Clubhouse Directors and their teams, ensuring club members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities, and receive instruction and constructive feedback to further develop skills in program area(s).
• Continually research meaningful community outreach opportunities, fostering and developing collaborative partnerships with other youth serving organizations, community organizations, corporations, and/or local businesses.
• Serve as a primary organizational spokesperson for programs with families, schools, and community partners.
• Collaborate with the Resource Development team to ensure grant compliance, reporting, evaluation, and renewal strategies.
• Partner with Resource Development on grant strategy development and alignment with program priorities.
• Regularly evaluate, audit, and assess the overall quality and objectives of all aspects of programming and
identify opportunities for improvement and increased effectiveness, including program depth, growth, and
evolution, while also maximizing club member reach, and equitable access including gender and cultural
diversity.
• Provide regular program performance reports to the CEO and Board of Directors.
• Support storytelling and public relations efforts that elevate program impact and visibility.
Administrative, Leadership, & People Management
• Partner with the CEO and executive leadership to contribute to organizational strategic planning, translating multi
year strategic priorities into actionable operational and programmatic plans, metrics, and annual goals.
• Foster a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) across Clubhouse operations and programming.
• Develop and manage annual departmental plans and budgets for Programming and Clubhouse Operations.
• Directly supervise and support a leadership team including Area Directors, Clubhouse Directors, Program Director,
Social Worker, and Facilities Manager.
• Set clear performance expectations, support professional development, and conduct regular performance
evaluations.
Additional Responsibilities
• Support the Board of Directors and serve on committees as assigned.
• Operate Club vehicles as needed.
• Assist with facility and program space upkeep as necessary.
Skills/Knowledge Required
• Four-year degree from accredited college or university in in operations, program management, nonprofit
management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years work experience in fundraising and gift acquisition and/or sales.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control fundraising expenses.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a department and team.
• Group leadership skills across cross-functional departments, and an understanding of group dynamics.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact,
professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a diverse population,
and represent BGCWC professionally to the community.
• Demonstrated organizational and project management abilities.
• Demonstrate the desire and willingness to think critically about opportunities for improvement.
• Proficient in use of computers and MS Office Products.
• Previous work experience with youth-focused non-profit organizations, preferably within an after school or
summer enrichment program.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENT
The work associated with the role is conducted in-office, while remote access will be considered at times.
Regional travel of 20% will be required. Must be able to maintain a high energy level and be comfortable performing multi faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
Be able to work closely with others in a small office environment.
Ability to lift supplies, materials, and collateral materials weighing up to 35 pounds as needed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Annual Salary Range: $95,000 – $120,000
Generous vacation/sick time off, plus:

• Annual 401K employer match, up to 5% of base salary
Total Compensation/Rewards Package: $110,000 - $136,000
