Summer Teen Center Staff
We are looking for energetic, responsible, and motivated individuals who are passionate about working with teens! This role is perfect for someone who wants to support teens in a variety of programs, help them grow, and create a positive, safe, and fun environment.
Staff will work with teens (ages 13–18) in a range of activities including recreational programs, arts, STEM, leadership, and service opportunities. The position is ideal for those who enjoy mentoring, building relationships, and creating engaging experiences for older youth.
This is a great opportunity for individuals over 21 who want to make a difference in teens’ lives while gaining experience in youth development.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Teen Center Staff plans, implements, and supervises activities for teens, supporting their personal growth, leadership skills, and positive decision-making. Staff will help create an inclusive and engaging environment where teens feel safe, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential.
Teen Center Staff will work with groups of 5–20 teens at a time, assisting with a variety of programs while promoting responsibility, teamwork, and positive social interactions.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
- Build supportive relationships with teens and encourage positive behaviors
- Recognize teens’ accomplishments and milestones
- Deliver engaging programs and activities
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment
- Ensure program areas are clean, organized, and ready for activities
- Support teen leadership, community involvement, and personal growth
Additional Roles Include:
Program Facilitator: Creating and leading activities across multiple program areas.
Mentor: Serving as a positive role model, offering guidance, and supporting teen growth.
Community Liaison: Assisting with partnerships and connections to enhance teen programs.
Youth Advocate: Encouraging teens to be responsible, active, and engaged citizens.
Behavior Manager: Implementing strategies to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
Program Coordinator: Assisting with planning and organizing programs for teens.
Supportive Counselor: Providing emotional support and guidance as teens navigate challenges.
Educational Supporter: Offering homework help, tutoring, or enrichment activities as needed.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Must be 21 years or older
- High School diploma or GED required
- Experience working with teens
- Ability to lead and supervise teens safely
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of youth development principles
- Valid State Driver’s License
Requirements:
Candidates must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check & Drug Test
Training:
- Boys & Girls Club Basics & Safety 101 to be completed the first week of hire
- 30 Day - Complete the Milestone 1 trainings
- 60 Day - Complete Milestone 2 trainings
- Attend Monthly trainings for positive youth development
Job Status:
Seasonal – 30–40 hours/week
May 18th – August 1st
Schedule Options:
Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay Range:
Starting at $15.25–$16.25 per hour, depending on experience
Salary : $15 - $16
