What are the responsibilities and job description for the STEM Teacher position at Boys & Girls Clubs of Weber-Davis?
We are seeking a passionate and creative STEM Educator to develop and implement an engaging curriculum for youth and teens. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various technical, science, and robotic disciplines and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
This teacher will be a part-time 1099 employee with 9-12 hrs/week of teaching required, rotating to all Clubs for Boys & Girls Club of Weber-Davis.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for youth and teens.
- Teach classes in your area of specialty.
- Recognize and address the diverse needs, interests, and learning styles of youth (typically aged 6-12) by adapting teaching strategies and content accordingly.
- Incorporate age-appropriate examples, projects, and activities that resonate with each group, fostering a sense of relevance and excitement about the artistic discipline.
- Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages creativity and artistic expression.
Skills Needed:
- Strong background in one or more science/robotic/technical disciplines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
