What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tutor position at Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County?
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; teaching certificate preferred
Primary Functions: Facilitate one-on-one tutoring with students ranging from kindergarten through high school in a variety of subject areas. Be able to assist with homework and provide additional resources to increase academic skills. Provide other duties for Club as assigned by Education Coordinator, Director of Academic Success or Unit Director. Track and report progress of all members to supervisor.
Skills Needed: Ability to plan, implement, and track quality one-on-one tutoring. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Must have the ability and knowledge to teach language arts and mathematics up to the middle school level. Experience working with children preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.25 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
