JOB SUMMARY
The Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations in a timely and efficient manner while ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
JOB RESPONSBILITIES
Safely operates charter buses to transport passengers to various destinations, following scheduled routes/stops and adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure the vehicle is in good operating condition
Provides outstanding customer service, creating a positive and safe experience for passengers
Ensures timely departure and arrival at all destinations and familiarity with routing
Ability to maintain clear communications with dispatch to report any delays, mechanical issues or other concerns that may impact the charter
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalency certificate
Must have and maintain a valid Arizona Class B CDL with passenger endorsement
Must obtain/maintain a current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler’s Certification (within first 90 days of employment)
Must have a current DOT medical card
Must have a minimum of two (2) years of commercial driving experience with passengers
Must have a clean motor vehicle record with no major violations
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY and SKILLS
Must be punctual, reliable and professional
WORKING CONDITIONS and DRIVING
Travel between Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley site and schools and various field trip sites as well as in the community is required. Must meet the insurance standards of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley
Work is primarily performed in the Club and local community
Hours are based on school calendar – evening/weekend hours are required; hours will vary during summer and school breaks; occasional weekend hours are required
