With support from our staff, Board, and broader Team BGCP community, we strive to make our community a great place for all kids to grow up.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Director of Operations ensures BGCP's facilities, logistics, and operational systems run efficiently and effectively. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role oversees site operations, internal and external transportation schedules, third-party vendor relationships, and resource management to ensure a high-functioning infrastructure that supports BGCP programs.Please note that this is a Temporary position, starting in January 2026, and ending in July 2026 (with possible extension into August).ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESManage BGCP's facilities, transportation, and events.Implement operational best practices to ensure efficiency and safety.Oversee vendor relationships and service contracts.Develop and monitor the operations budget.Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.Transportation ManagementSupervise van drivers serving BGCP students across South San Francisco, Redwood City, Menlo Park, and East Palo Alto.Develop and maintain work schedules and coverage plans for each region.Ensure all vehicles meet DMV safety standards and cleanliness requirements, in collaboration with the Van Fleet Coordinator.Manage student transportation (Schools to Clubhouses / Clubhouses to Student Homes). Manage the reservation system for a fleet of 16 vehicles.Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs with third-party vendors.Food Distribution OversightOrganize meal transportation logistics for South San Francisco and Menlo Park sites.Submit accurate meal data to state grant authorities monthlyMaintain weekly up-to-date meal records in internal systems.Event Support & LogisticsAssist with planning and execution of organization-wide events at BGCP venues and partner locations.Coordinate food, transportation, and communication needs for events.Lead monthly grocery distribution efforts in collaboration with community partners (Second Harvest).Coordinate external facility request (i.e., CZI Community Meeting Space)Staff Onboarding & OffboardingCoordinate and issue BGCP uniforms and ID badges to new staff members quarterly.Manage facility access across our four clubhouse locations.Supervise monthly CPR certification sessions with support from the Business Operations Specialist.Financial Operations SupportOversee project execution and task completion by the Business Operations Specialist.Ensure timely reconciliation of Operations Department credit card transactions.Facilitate communication between the Business Operations Specialist and the Finance Department.Monitor and verify timely and accurate invoice submissions into the invoicing system.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in business administration, operations, or a related field required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations or facilities management.Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.Knowledge of safety regulations and operational compliance.LOCATIONPrimary Location: Menlo ParkFlexibility to travel to other sites around the Peninsula (South San Francisco, Daly City, San Mateo, Redwood City, and East Palo Alto)WORK SCHEDULE:Monday - Friday, 9:30 am - 6:30 pm(Occasional mornings, evenings & weekends required for special events) COMPENSATION & BENEFITSEmployment Status: Full-Time, Non-ExemptHourly Compensation: $45.00 - $50.00, DOEHealth Benefits: You are entitled to company-provided medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as life and long-term disability insurance paid at 100% by BGCP with additional buy up options beginning on your start dateRetirement Benefits: You will be able to participate in our 401(k) retirement plan after ninety days of employmentComprehensive Paid Time-Off Policy, along with additional benefitsContributing to a thriving community for youth growth: Beyond measureAs part of the hiring process, BGCP requires candidates to complete a LiveScan fingerprinting, background check, and tuberculosis (TB) test.Disclaimer: The above declarations are not intended to be an "all-inclusive" list of all duties and responsibilities of the job described, nor are they intended to be such a listing of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
