Primary Function
Provide strategic leadership for all resource development activities for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley, with primary responsibility for increasing philanthropic support and generating sustainable revenue through individual giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, sponsorships, grants, fundraising events, and donor stewardship. Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive fundraising strategies that advance the organization's mission and long-term financial sustainability. Serve as a key partner to the Chief Executive Officer by strengthening community partnerships, expanding corporate and civic relationships, enhancing the organization's brand and visibility, and increasing public awareness of the Club's impact throughout the communities served. Oversee marketing, communications, donor engagement, and public relations activities that support fundraising objectives, organizational growth, and community investment. Collaborate closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, Advisory Councils, Center Directors, and Operations team to maximize resource development outcomes and organizational impact.
Essential Responsibilities
Resource Development Leadership
· Develop, implement, and evaluate the organization's annual resource development plan, including measurable fundraising goals, revenue targets, timelines, budgets, and performance metrics.
· Lead all annual giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, sponsorships, grants, donor campaigns, and fundraising events.
· Oversee donor stewardship processes, including acknowledgements, recognition, donor communications, stewardship plans, and gift administration.
· Maintain accurate donor database records, fundraising reports, and resource development metrics.
Strategic CEO Support and Community Engagement
· Support the CEO in developing and strengthening strategic community relationships that advance the organization's mission and fundraising goals.
· Support the CEO in expanding corporate and civic partnerships that increase philanthropic investment, sponsorship opportunities, and community awareness.
· Serve as an ambassador for the organization by promoting the Club's impact and increasing visibility throughout the communities served.
· Provide strategic leadership and support to Center Directors, Advisory Councils, Board members, and Resource Development/Marketing Committee members in fundraising and community engagement efforts.
Marketing and Communications
· Oversee the organization's website, social media platforms, email marketing, newsletters, public relations, and marketing calendar to support fundraising, donor stewardship, and organizational awareness.
· Ensure consistent organizational branding and messaging across all communication channels.
· Direct the creation and distribution of marketing collateral, campaign materials, press releases, photography, video, and promotional content.
· Coordinate graphic design, digital content creation, and social media strategy that supports fundraising initiatives and community engagement.
· Collaborate with Operations to promote Club programs, volunteer opportunities, alumni engagement, and community impact stories.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree preferred in nonprofit management, marketing, communications, business, public relations, or related field.
· Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, resource development, donor relations, corporate partnerships, or nonprofit leadership, with demonstrated success in achieving revenue growth goals.
· Demonstrated experience managing fundraising campaigns, donor relationships, events, marketing initiatives, and community partnerships.
· Strong leadership, organizational, project management, written and verbal communication skills.
· Experience with CRM/donor databases, digital marketing, social media, and content development.
· Ability to establish effective relationships with staff, volunteers, board members, donors, and community partners.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
· Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for meetings and events.
· Ability to work in a variety of environments and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced setting.
