Duties

• Supervise children during before and after school hours, ensuring their safety at all times
• Implement structured activities that promote childhood development, including arts and crafts, sports coaching, theater, and educational games
• Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
• Facilitate age-appropriate learning experiences that support early childhood education principles
• Assist with homework help, tutoring sessions, and skill-building exercises tailored to individual student needs
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols such as first aid procedures and emergency response plans
• Support children with special education needs by adapting activities to accommodate diverse learning styles
• Foster a welcoming environment rooted in respect, kindness, and Christian counseling values when appropriate
• Collaborate with team members to plan daily schedules that balance structured activities with free play

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, babysitting, tutoring, or early childhood education is highly desirable
• Demonstrated classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment
• Knowledge of childhood development milestones and behavior management techniques
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred but not required; training can be provided upon hire
• Experience working with students who have special needs or require individualized support is a plus
• Background in sports coaching, theater arts, or childcare enhances your ability to engage children creatively
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
• Passion for fostering a safe space where children can learn, grow, and thrive through play-based learning experiences

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
