Pay $20.50/Hourly
Site: Academy of Math & Science
 
Under the direction of the Area Director, the School Site Lead directs overall daily operations for a designated School Site(s). Oversee and provide direction for program development and delivery. Recruit, hire, and manage personnel issues for all direct reports. Ensure that all areas of the School Site(s) are well maintained, in excellent working condition, safe and secure for our staff, members and guests. The School Site Lead helps ensure the school site(s) meets organizational standards, supports the advancement of the BGCSNV mission, and assists in guaranteeing that quality youth services are delivered.
 
The essential job duties for this role include:
 
Site Operations
  • Develop, implement, and administer comprehensive programs within the five core program areas with an emphasis on youth and teen development outcomes, services, and activities for members and visitors.
  • Regularly attend and participate in meetings and trainings while keeping staff informed of Club initiatives and updates.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with parents, schools, community organizations, and local agencies.
  • Coordinate transportation schedules and logistics, as applicable.
  • Represent the organization by communicating the mission, program objectives, and opportunities available to youth and families.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for members, staff, volunteers, and guests.
  • Oversee member behavior management and disciplinary procedures, including parent communication and suspension processes.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives that support organizational goals and measurable youth outcomes.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve program quality through regular observations, audits, and performance assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, safety standards, licensing requirements, and financial guidelines.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive environment that supports an exceptional Club experience for all members and staff.
Supervision
  • Supervise, coach, and support staff while partnering with Human Resources to address employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary matters.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and develop staff to ensure high-quality program delivery.
  • Provide leadership and direction to volunteers and community partners.
  • Conduct and facilitate regular staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parent and family concerns.
  • Ensure all onboarding processes, staff training, and career development plans are completed and maintained.
  • Prepare and submit program reports, attendance data, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Attend all required leadership meetings, trainings, all-staff meetings, and organizational events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and operations of the organization.

  • A minimum of two years progressively responsible work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people
  • Proficient in Internet use and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to deal effectively with multi-age children, small groups of children in activities and free play, and large groups of children in organized activities
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands from several people
  • Ability to meet deadlines with severe time constraints
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.  Ability to interact professionally with the public, vendors and other professional staff
  • Able to work occasional irregular or extended hours
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google suite of productivity applications (Word, Excel, Forms, Outlook, etc.)
  • Valid Nevada driver’s license and a good driving record.  Use of personal vehicle may be required with reimbursement for mileage at standard IRS rates.
  • Pediatric & Adult CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or ability to obtain within first 90 days of employment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Driving Position: Must be have a valid Nevada driver’s license and good driving record. Use of a personal vehicle may be required and mileage is reimbursed.
