POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Program Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Unit Director
Position Classification: Part-time
Hours: 20-25 hours/week; Monday-Friday, approximately 2 pm-6:30 pm
General Function: Under the leadership of the Unit Director, Program Coordinators plan, deliver, track, and evaluate structured activities that are designed to empower Club members to achieve academic success, become good citizens, and lead healthy, productive lives.
Job Segments:
- Help plan, deliver, and evaluate a broad range of programs in the areas of Character & Leadership Development, Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, The Arts and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.
- Establish program objectives consistent with the organization's goals and mission.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of program data and outcomes.
- Maintain, inventory and utilize appropriate and adequate program equipment and supplies.
- Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety and development of Club members.
- Be a positive role model for youth.
- Clean driving record and the ability to drive a Club vehicle.
- Other such duties as may be assigned by the Administration of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern NC.
Requirements:
- College graduate and/or a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar youth-serving organization
- Planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office, email
- Must have the ability to be active and on your feet, adapt to changes in a highly energetic work environment, complete other essential functions of the position and other duties as assigned.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Training:
- In-Service training will be provided, as will the opportunity to participate in special training courses offered by various community agencies and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
