Position Overview: As the Youth Development Professional, you play a crucial role in overseeing program operations, tracking data, and planning activities to create an extraordinary experience for students and staff. Your dedication to fostering strong relationships with school partners and providing exceptional leadership contributes to a work environment that promotes professional growth. Together with your team, you focus on offering elementary, middle/high school students mentorship and engaging enrichment experiences, supporting them in achieving academic success, improving attendance, and building positive behaviors and social-emotional skills.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3PM - 7PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

  • Prepare for Youth Success: You will support the Site Leader by ensuring that our programs meet high standards and adhere to grant compliance expectations. In preparing and delivering enrichment programs regularly to youth, you'll ensure that they positively impact our members and the community. As part of a youth development team, you'll provide coaching and training and respond accordingly to ensure our programs make a meaningful difference.
  • Health and Safety of Members: You will be responsible for supervising program youth and ensuring the health and safety of staff, youth, parents, and visitors by following safety policies and procedures compliant with BGCS and SCSD. Your commitment ensures that everyone within our community feels valued and protected.
  • Program Success: You will develop and maintain a positive Club culture, oversee equipment maintenance, and organize programs and events. Additionally, you periodically track and report on important data about program.
  • Relationships: You will play a crucial role in fostering and nurturing positive relationships with students, families, staff, BGCS Administration, School District administration, and community agencies/partners.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- High School Diploma or GED

- 3 years of professional work experience

- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, encompassing problem-solving, decision-making, and delegation.

- The capacity to effectively manage challenging behaviors, cultivate the potential of young individuals, and maintain exemplary standards.

- Communication and Relationship Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

- Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast-paced work environments and effectively manage multiple tasks.
