Kitchen Assistant

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, Afternoon/Evening hours: 2:00pm – 6:30 pm

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for checking in the kids for snacks and dinner, they are responsible for setting up the café for kids to come in for snacks. Kitchen Assistant will clean the café, throw out the garbage, and assist with putting away the order if time allows.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

· Maintain the snack and dinner attendance

· Help prepare snacks

· Take out garbage

· Sweep and mop café

· Help pack up the food for other clubhouses.

· Help cut fruit and vegetables

· Help prepare any items that are needed for the next day.

· Follow recipes and/or product directions.

· Operates a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, seasons and knead foodstuffs for cooking, serving and storing.

· Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.

· Inspects workstations for compliance with service standards.

· Cleans and sanitizes workspace.

· May have basic cooking responsibilities.

· Adheres to the food allergy list.

· Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.

· Comply with the safety and risk management policies and procedures.

· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

· High School diploma or GED

Must be at least 18 years old

At least 1 year of related work experience
