Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central North Carolina is seeking a skilled and visionary Director of Juvenile Service Programs to lead and oversee the administration, planning, and execution of programs aimed at supporting at-risk youth. This leadership role combines program management, strategic planning, and administrative oversight to ensure the success of key initiatives, including the Teen Court and Community Service/Restitution programs. The Director will collaborate with various stakeholders to promote youth development, restorative justice, and positive life choices.

Position Summary:

The Director of Juvenile Service Programs will be responsible for the overall administration and strategic direction of youth-focused programs. This includes supervising staff, managing budgets, writing grants, and fostering relationships with community partners to expand program reach and effectiveness. The role requires a proactive leader who can develop, coordinate, and evaluate program services while maintaining a focus on excellence and positive outcomes for youth participants.

Key Responsibilities: Program Leadership and Management

  • Oversee the operations of the Teen Court and Community Service/Restitution programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community needs.
  • Develop and implement program strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers.
  • Monitor program performance and provide ongoing evaluation to ensure quality and effectiveness.

Case Management and Youth Support

  • Conduct assessments to determine program eligibility for participants and connect them with necessary resources or referrals.
  • Oversee case management activities, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards.
  • Facilitate life skills workshops as needed.

Community Engagement and Partnerships

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including law enforcement, schools, courts, and community organizations.
  • Develop new community service work sites and foster collaborations that support program goals.
  • Represent the programs in public forums, delivering presentations to promote awareness and support.

Administrative and Financial Oversight

  • Manage program budgets for all JCPC programs, including grant writing, reporting, and financial monitoring.
  • Maintain detailed records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to program operations.

Qualifications: Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Education, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • At least five years of experience working with youth and families, including program administration and at-risk youth interventions.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of the juvenile justice and legal systems.
  • Proficiency in grant administration, financial management, and database systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
