Title: Vision Leader
Position Status: Part-Time
Reports To: Site Director or Director of Operations
Primary Function:
Plans, implements, supervise and evaluate activities provided within a specific program area or specific grade level. This includes: mentoring activities, homeroom areas, gym, arts & crafts, education room, outside, computer lab and field trips.
Key Roles:
Prepare Youth for Success
1. Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development
Outcomes:
- Promote and stimulate program participation;
- Participate in new member orientation process making them feel
welcome and comfortable at the club.
- Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
Program Implementation
2. Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for all
members.
3. Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure safety of
members, quality in programs and appearance of the club at all times.
Supervision
4. Be on time and ready to make a difference in a child’s life.
5. Position yourself to maintain order and control in program areas at all times.
6. Ensure a productive work environment by participating in assigned staff
meetings.
Relationships:
Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club Members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Experience working with children.
- Knowledge of youth development.
- Ability to motivate youth and effectively manage behavior problems.
- Ability to deal with the general public.
- Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications.
This position pends on a successful background check and fingerprinting.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $8.33 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week
