The Opportunity:
The Development Coordinator supports the fundraising, marketing, communications, and donor engagement efforts of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint. Reporting to the Development Director, this role strengthens organizational visibility, donor stewardship, data management, and resource development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Resource Management & Donor Stewardship
· Manage administrative and operational systems related to fundraising activities.
· Administer gift processing, acknowledgments, and donor correspondence using MyClubHub (Salesforce).
· Maintain accurate donor records across all stages of stewardship.
· Support donor cultivation by conducting prospect research and assisting with donor meetings, tours, and stewardship activities.
· Track grant income in Salesforce and assist with preparation for grant reports.
· Coordinate annual appeals and donor communication processes.
· Provide administrative support for fundraising events, board meetings, and committee meetings.
· Track volunteer hours and ensure data entry into MyClubHub.
Marketing, Communications & Brand Management
· Prepare and distribute media materials, print materials, and digital content.
· Support email, postal mail, website, and social media communications.
· Capture photos and videos from Club programs and events.
· Manage and grow organization social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
· Assist in creating brochures, flyers, event collateral, and promotional materials.
· Represent the Club at community events and partnership meetings as needed.
Event Coordination
· Support planning and execution of fundraisers including the golf outing, gala, and community events.
· Assist with sponsor fulfillment, vendor coordination, volunteer communication, and logistics.
· Assis with tracking event revenue, expenses, and post‑event reporting.
· Support efforts to secure sponsorships and in‑kind donations.
RELATIONSHIPS
· Maintain communication with Club leadership and program management.
· Maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, corporate partners, schools, and youth‑serving organizations.
· Collaborate with staff to support program storytelling, data collection, and grant opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Passion for the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Experience in fundraising, event planning, communications, or nonprofit work.
· Proficiency in, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
· Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Experience with design tools (Canva) and social media preferred.
· Ability to work occasional evenings/weekends for events.
· Commitment to DEI principles.
Salary : $37,000 - $45,000
