Job description
Youth Development Professionals typically start at $12 an hour and typically work Monday through Friday between 1:30 PM and 6:00 PM, with some longer days during school holidays. This position has the ability to have up to 40 hours in the summer. There are several positions available in 3 different Boys and Girls Club locations.
Responsibilities include:
- Facilitating activities in a program area (Education, Technology, Sports & Fitness, Arts & Crafts, Social Recreation, and Healthy Lifestyles) and during field trips
- Provide guidance, role modeling, and positive discipline techniques to Club members
- Monitor program areas to ensure Club member safety
We would love to see that you have:
- Experience in working with children
- Knowledge of youth development
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
- Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
- CPR and First Aid Certifications
