Director of Marketing & Development
The Director of Marketing and Development leads the organization’s fundraising, communications, and brand strategies—building partnerships, awareness, and resources to sustain and grow our mission.
This position identifies and creates opportunities to build public awareness of Club services, programs and activities. Adapts or creates messages and vehicles for promoting upcoming events or programs to the public and members, including newsletters, public service announcements, flyers, etc. Evaluates success of strategy, materials and media and modify as necessary. Works closely with program and management staff to generate the resources that make our programs possible. Through relationship building, donor stewardship, and creative fundraising campaigns, this position ensures the Club has the support needed to empower youth every day.
KEY ROLES :
Leadership
- Develop and implement marketing and public relations strategies designed to build appreciation and support of Club programs, services and activities, and to increase participation by youth and teens in the community.
Strategic Planning
- Contribute to operational strategic planning, identifying opportunities to promote Club services, programs and activities to specific constituents or the public at large.
Resource Development
- Build and grow the Club’s base of support by developing membership recruitment strategies and launching marketing and public relations efforts that expand community awareness.
- Create and implement new special events designed to increase visibility, engage community partners, and generate revenue for the Club.
- Develop and maintain donor management systems, including organizing donor lists, tracking engagement, and supporting the cultivation and stewardship of new and existing donors.
- Establish and manage a database infrastructure for tracking prospects, analyzing donor and campaign data, and producing accurate, timely reports.
- Design and oversee the Club’s fundraising calendar, ensuring consistent outreach, stewardship, and timely execution of fundraising activities.
- Develop and manage donor communications, including building mailing lists and drafting, editing, and proofreading donor correspondence, acknowledgments, and annual appeal materials.
Partnership Development
- Develop collaborative partnerships with Club staff, volunteers, members, parents, supporters, other Clubs, media contacts, consultants and vendors and other nonprofits to establish professional links within the community.
Marketing & Public Relations
- Participate in development of and coordinate implementation for all marketing and public relation activities to increase the visibility of Club programs, services and activities.
- Maintain good public relations with local media contacts, members, families, alumni, community leaders and youth serving professionals.
Special Events Management
- Oversee planning, coordination, and implementation of all special events, including fundraising events, donor appreciation/stewardship events, and donor cultivation events.
- Develop marketing plans for each event in coordination with Club Communications Plan.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
