Schedule: Monday-Friday (40 hours/week)

Position Overview
The Youth Development Specialist supports the daily delivery of high-quality youth programming aligned with BGCH's mission and core values. This role is responsible for engaging youth in structured activities, fostering positive relationships, and creating an environment that promotes safety, belonging, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate engaging activities across education, recreation, and leadership development
- Build positive, supportive relationships with youth ages 6-17
- Encourage participation and create an inclusive, welcoming environment
- Provide guidance and reinforce positive behaviors and decision-making
- Support program promotion, events, and community engagement efforts
- Assist with program setup, materials, reporting, and daily operations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality programming
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with youth preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse populations
- Energetic, patient, and dependable with a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Availability for occasional evenings or weekends as needed
