The Boys and Girls Club of Whittier, California, is a vibrant and dedicated nonprofit organization committed to enhancing the lives of young people in our community. Established with a mission to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens, our Club has been a cornerstone of support and growth for the youth of Whittier for over 55 years.

Position Summary: Seeking passionate and dedicated Cheer Coach to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves teaching Cheer at various school locations in the City of Whittier. As a Cheer Coach, you will be responsible for creating an engaging, supportive, and inspiring learning environment for students of all ages and skill levels.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to connect with and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Patience and Adaptability: Skill in managing a classroom environment and adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of each student.
  • Reliable Transportation: Ability to travel between multiple school locations within Whittier.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Cheer Coach is a bonus but not required.

  • Passion for the mission of the Boys and Girls Club and a commitment to youth development.
  • Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications.
  • Background Check & Valid State Driver’s License.
