Youth Development Specialist (Wausau, Weston, Merrill, Schofield-4 different locations)

*PART-TIME & AFTERSCHOOL HOURS* 20 to 25 hours per week (minimum of 15 hours per week is required). Monday – Friday, afternoons and evenings on school days; morning and afternoons on non-school days. Summer employment optional. Additional Hours are available.

Youth Development Specialists are responsible for leading and engaging Club Members in programs, program planning, ensuring the safety of Club members, and maintaining a fun environment.

Boys & Girls Club Afterschool Locations:

Caroline S. Mark Site, Wausau, WI, 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m MONDAY-FRIDAY

D.C. Everest Middle School, Weston, WI, 2-6:30PM, MONDAY-FRIDAY

The Club at Greenheck Turner Community Center, WI, 2:15-7PM, MONDAY-FRIDAY

Prairie River Middle School, Merrill, WI, 3-6:30PM, MONDAY-FRIDAY

Responsibilities and Duties

Youth Development Specialists plans and implements programs within these core program areas: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship, Workforce Development, Social Recreation, STEM, and The Arts.

• Provide a Safe, Inclusive, and Fun Environment for Youth and Teens
• Prepare and Mentor Youth and Teens for Success
• Program Planning, Implementation, and Documentation
• Supervision of Youth and Teens
• Enforce Club Expectations and Policies

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.50 per hour
