Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and emotional well-being.
• Manage classroom or activity spaces effectively, ensuring safety and positive behavior management at all times.
• Provide guidance and support to children during daily routines, including meal times, rest periods, and transitions.
• Utilize first aid skills to respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies, ensuring the safety of all participants.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive programs tailored for children with special education needs or behavioral challenges.
• Foster a respectful and encouraging environment that promotes teamwork, creativity, and self-esteem.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress notes, and incident reports as required for program compliance.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or after-school programs is highly preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to engage children, parents, and team members positively.
• Ability to adapt activities for children with varying needs and learning styles.
