The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County provides a safe, positive environment for youth to learn, grow, and thrive. We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our leadership team and ensure smooth daily operations.
The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in maintaining accurate records, processing financial transactions, supporting HR functions, and providing general office support. This part-time position helps keep our organization efficient and mission focused.
Responsibilities include:
Finance
- Process bank deposits, ACH, and EFT payments with proper coding.
- Assist with accounts payable, audits, and Finance/HR committee projects.
- Maintain organized financial files and records.
Human Resources
- Maintain employee personnel files and ensure compliance.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff appreciation initiatives.
Donor Stewardship
- Assist with donor mailings and stewardship tasks.
- Attend events to foster donor and community relationships.
General Office Support
- Provide scheduling and clerical support to the CEO and Administrative Team.
- Answer phones and greet visitors professionally.
- Manage mail distribution, office supplies, and meeting preparation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
- Previous administrative experience (nonprofit experience a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; basic accounting knowledge helpful.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
