Duties
- Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, literacy education, math skills, and childhood development strategies.
- Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes positive behavior management and classroom management techniques.
- Engage children in hands-on activities that support early intervention, special education needs, and overall child welfare.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss behavioral concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
- Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development progress and incident reports.
- Supervise classroom activities to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary lessons that support physical activity, social skills, literacy, math, and other essential areas of early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, including classroom experience with toddlers or young children.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate engaging curricula that include literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; additional certifications in special education or early childhood education are preferred.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare practices is essential.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
