We are seeking a motivated and energetic Food Service Aide to join our team! In this vital role, you will support the dietary department by assisting with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining sanitation standards, and ensuring a positive dining experience for our youth members. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where young people can enjoy nutritious meals and develop healthy eating habits. You will assist in serving breakfast, lunch and snack to members daily.
- Assist in preparing and portioning food according to safety and quality standards
- Serve meals to youth members in a friendly and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Support food handling practices that adhere to health regulations and safety guidelines
- Buss tables and assist with setting up dining areas for meal service
- Follow proper food safety protocols during all stages of food production and serving
- Support the dietary department by helping with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or food industry settings is preferred
- Knowledge of food production, preparation, and safety procedures
- Strong time management skills to handle meal service efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Familiarity with sanitation standards, cleaning routines, and food handling regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards youth engagement
- Previous dietary aide or food service experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
