Position Duration: June 1st - July 22nd
Compensation: $18.00 - $21.00 Hourly
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To operate large passenger vehicles and school buses to transport children safely and efficiently during summer operating hours. As well as, assisting with vehicle schedules and documentation. Hours will vary based on scheduled trips.
Daily Schedule as follows:
- Monday - Thursday: 12 pm - 4 pm
- Some days range from 8 am - 6 pm
- Hours may vary weekly based on Club needs.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
- Transporting children to and from field trips.
- Assists members in boarding and exiting vehicles.
- Prior to operating the vehicle, inspect exterior and interior of vehicle at beginning of each shift for properly operating headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior courtesy lamps, air conditioning or heating, mirror adjustment, properly inflated tires, windshield wipers, vehicle damage, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring the inside and outside of vehicles are properly cleaned and fueled on an ongoing basis.
- Keeps the vehicle's interior neat and orderly.
- Treats all members in a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
- Documenting and logging vehicle usage.
- Assist with maintaining vehicle schedules and facilitate the use of vehicles and drivers when needed.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/ instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
External: Maintains contact with members, families and the general public to be good citizens of the road.
Qualifications:
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Must possess a valid CDL – B driver’s license with a passenger and school bus endorsement.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organization and attention to detail.
- Strong customer relations skills.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Transport students to different locations.
- Assisting with coordinating and scheduling vehicle usage.
